  • Baseline 9000 Total Carbon Analyzer

    The Baseline® 9000 TCA Total Carbon Analyzer is a microprocessor-based instrument designed to measure total hydrocarbon content as well as provide a combined carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) reading for impurity detection at industrial and specialty gas companies.

    Detection limits down to < 0.1 ppm. User-programmable ranges from 1 ppm to 100 ppm are factory-configured per the customer’s application to facilitate installation and setup.

    This CO and CO2 gas analyzer uses a flame ionization detector (FID) in conjunction with a methanizing catalyst switched in and out of the sample stream. The catalyst converts CO and CO2 to methane to produce a total carbon reading. This catalytic reaction relies on the hydrogen (H2) in the fuel stream. The hydrocarbon only value is then subtracted from the total carbon concentration to determine the CO / CO2 reading.

    The Baseline® 9000 Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer is a microprocessor-based instrument designed for continuous ambient or process hydrocarbon gas measurement in environmental or industrial settings. The total hydrocarbon analyzer can be purchased in a variety of configurations with internal components for single or multi-point sampling (with or without a sample pump) for pre-filtered non-condensing samples.

    Detection limits down to < 10 ppb. User-programmable ranges from 1 ppm up to 100% as methane (CH4) are factory-configured per the customer’s application to facilitate installation and setup.

    The Baseline® 9000 H Heated Hydrocarbon Analyzer is a microprocessor based instrument designed for continuous ambient or process hydrocarbon gas measurement in environmental or industrial settings. The heated total hydrocarbon analyzer is configured for single point analysis (with or without a sample pump) of samples heated up to 376 °F (191 °C) for pre-filtered (< 10 microns) non-condensing samples.

    Detection limits down to < 0.1 ppm. User-programmable ranges from 10 ppm to 10% (propane) or 10 ppm to 50% (methane) are factory-configured per the customer’s application to facilitate installation and setup.

  • Baseline 9000 Methane/Non-Methane Analyzer

    The Baseline® 9000 Methane / Non-Methane Analyzer uses a flame ionization detector (FID) in conjunction with an oxidation catalyst switched in and out of the sample stream. The catalyst oxidizes all hydrocarbons except methane to produce a methane only measurement. This catalytic reaction relies on the presence of oxygen (O2) in the sample. The methane value is then subtracted from the total hydrocarbon concentration to determine the non-methane hydrocarbon reading. Output options include analog, digital and logic capabilities.

    Our methane and non-methane analyzer provides fast data handling and highly reproducible results. Errors commonly associated with catalyst characteristics have been eliminated providing an extremely stable and accurate signal.   • piD-TECH piD-POD

    The piD-POD® from MOCON allows for sample flow path integration of a Baseline® piD-TECH® eVx photoionization sensor into existing gas monitoring instrumentation without extensive engineering expense. This device operates with portable and fixed photoionization instruments. Since a photoionization detector (PID) does not destroy the sample, the piD-POD is a direct way for OEMs to provide a total volatile organic compound (TVOC) measurement into their fixed and instrument design.

    Compact and economical, the piD-POD has no moving parts and consists of a cylindrical housing which accommodates the piD-TECH eVx photoionization sensor and inlet/outlet sample ports. It is engineered for inlet flows of up to 300 cc/min. and comes equipped with a PCB-mounted connector with mating adapter.   • Baseline VOC-TRAQ Flow Cell

    The Baseline® VOC-TRAQ® II Flow Cell incorporates the VOC-TRAQ II with a flow-through housing, enabling total volatile organic compound (TVOC) measurement with an inlet and outlet flow path for remote sample delivery. This unit allows for controlled sample delivery when used in conjunction with a pressurized source or pump.

    The VOC-TRAQ II Flow Cell provides the ability to remotely monitor and record the presence of total volatile organic compounds using a PC with Windows-based OS software. The acute sensitivity of this sampling pump is provided by the piD-TECH® eVx photoionization detector.

    The dynamic range of this total volatile organic compound detector is 0 ppm to 10,000 ppm with MDQs (minimum detectable quantities) of 0.5 ppb to 1,500 ppb depending on piD-TECH eVx sensor selection (see reverse side for more specifics).
