PFAS are quickly moving from emerging contaminant to regulated contaminant. With attention at the highest levels of the federal government, and with spending on PFAS characterization, remediation and other issues exceeding $1B per year, there are many technical and regulatory variables on PFAS to consider. Much of the attention has focused on drinking water and contaminated sites. However, PFAS are an emerging issue in air, general occupational exposure, and industrial hygiene. Everything from the specific PFAS to how we measure and regulate could be different for IH applications.
